Jerrica Burr

Jerrica Burr has been an Early Childhood Educator since 2012. In that time she has had experience working in childcare, after school care, preschool and with special needs. She has recently completed her post basic schooling allowing her to work with infant/toddlers and special needs. She also has a bachelor’s degree from Kwantlen Polytechnic University with a major in psychology.

Jerrica sees the early years as an important time for social skills and learning how to talk to and play with other children. She is also a big supporter of outdoor play in all-weather as she sees it as vital to the development of children. She also believes that children learn best through play as that is how they figure out the world and how things work. Her favourite part of being a preschool instructor is watching the creativity and imagination of the children and hearing all of the children’s stories.

Jerrica grew up in Ladner and is excited to start at Lil Saints preschool and be back in the community she grew up in.

Mylene Lock

Mylene is a certified Early Childhood Educator with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She has more than 20 years of experience working with children.

“I have fond memories of my childhood in a very small town. I loved to play games, build forts, and play dress-up, especially outdoors. I would have played all day long. From a young age, I dreamt of being a teacher and working with children someday. Being a preschool teacher is a dream come true for me."

Mylene's goal is to provide a fun, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for her students. She aims to instill in the children a love of school. Being away from their parents, even for just a couple hours, can be hard for young children. It is Mylene's mission to help the children feel safe and secure, while assuring parents that their “babies” are safe and well cared for.

"I love watching the kids' happy faces, eagerness, and enthusiasm when we open our door in the morning. There is no other job for me: I am doing what I love and I love every minute of what I do.”

Stephanie Begon

Stephanie Begon has been teaching preschoolers since 2010. In addition to being an Early Childhood Educator, she also has an infant and toddler certificate and special needs training. She also just recently completed an introduction course to Applied Behavioural Analyst through Douglas College, and completed Level 1 in American Sign Language.

Stephanie has worked with a very diverse group of children including those that required extra support. Stephanie has done some behavioral intervention work, and has worked with children that have had hearing impairments and occasional seizures.

Stephanie strongly believes that children learn by using all their senses, through hands on experiences and materials provided to them. She enjoys seeing the children overcome challenges and master new skills. She strives on creating positive and long-lasting relationships with the children and their families.

Stephanie is so excited to be a part of at Lil Saints Preschool teaching team, and looking forward to working with your children!
